A Certified Investment Management Analyst™ professional, Ben is in charge of designing and running Trek’s proprietary investment models. Ben serves as the chairperson for the Trek Investment Committee and provides ongoing training, education and support for Advisors using the Trek model portfolios.
When did you join Trek and what do you love about being at Base Camp?
I joined Trek in 2008, but started my career as an advisor in 2004. I have been operating as Trek’s Chief Investment Officer since 2015. I love the constant push to be better and do better, and to do both as a team. Our group works together so well and I am lucky to have so many people who want to see each other succeed and grow.
What does “improving quality for advisors and their teams,” mean to you?
If we can help bring clarity or support to our advisors and their teams, I believe we are helping them build and enhance their client experience. As an advisor myself, having the ability to lean on others for resources and support is a difference maker when trying to scale a business. I think our team is that difference maker.
What keeps you busy when you aren’t at work?
When I’m not at work, I am active in my church. I also love to do things with my family like camping, hiking, kayaking, bike riding, and exploring the outdoors. I also enjoy working in my garden.
